The Western & Atlantic's engine YONAH is the third in SMR's the "Great Locomotive Chase" series. It was built in 1849 by Rogers, Ketchem & Grosvenor of Patterson, NJ, the company which later constructed the GENERAL. The old engine played a key role in the pursuit during the raid. The YONAH will differ from the photograph in many important details such as the smokestack, pilot and other items. |
